Transitional – a style of contrasts.

Transitional is the formal elegance of traditional styling ironed out into smoother lines, crisper edges and sleeker decorative touches. Transitional style developed between the era of colonial,  also known as Traditional style, and the beginning of the Arts and Crafts movement that brought about the Craftsman style.  Transitional is a flexible style where just about everyone can find what they like. Transitional style combined the clean minimalism of contemporary and modern styles with the formality and elegance of traditional styles.
